Ottava Via, Detroit: First visit to Ottava Via recommended by a friend of mine. Ottava Via has a really nice back yard, complete with bocce ball and two fire pits. We came into the restaurant through the back door. There is also a front entrance off of Michigan Ave.
What we enjoyed: The main dining area is in the front of the building with additional dining in the back separated by the kitchen. We sat in the back which worked out great, it was not too load and we had excellent service.
Starters: We tried the brussels sprouts appetizers which were flash fried and wonderful, along with the homemade preztels.
Entrees: We really enjoyed the Salsiccia pizza which is made with Sweet Italian Sausage, Peperoncini, Aged Provalone Cheese, Red Onion, and Peppers it was amazing. Additionally the Tuscan Braised Beef Ribs topped with Onion Frites which was served on a Bed of our Creamy Mascarpone Polenta.
Parking: Parking was available on the street and the were also parking lots available on the next street over. Best of all the parking was free.
Property details: Ottava Via is located in Corktown. Located at 1400 Michigan Ave, Detroit.
